The September English Reset

A little space for your English to feel like yours again.

A free week-long experience for English and CLIL teachers who use English as an additional language and work with children and teenagers.

19 - 25 September 2026

When you're teaching in a language that isn't your own...

You spend so much time creating opportunities for your students to use English... but when do you get to use it for yourself?

Every September we spend hours preparing lessons and settling students in.

But time for ourselves can get squeezed out.

The September English Reset is a chance to change that.

Before the school year gets too busy, take a little time to think about your teaching - and use English for yourself again.

No pressure. No long lessons.

Just a little time to think and speak in English.

It's helped me to build new habits - I want to do this all the time!

Secondary school English Teacher

The September English Reset is for you if...

  • you haven't used much English over the summer and you're feeling a bit rusty

  • you'd like to feel more comfortable speaking again before term gets busy

  • you'd like more time to reflect on your teaching

  • you'd like to use English for yourself and connect with other English and CLIL teachers

You don't need fully fluent English to take part. That's not what this is about.

If you can have a conversation about teaching, you'll fit right in.

By the end of the week you'll have...

  • used English for yourself every day

  • started to notice your own voice in English

  • reflected on your teaching and the year ahead

  • reconnected with your professional voice in English

  • started the school year feeling calmer and more confident

This isn't about becoming fluent in a week.

It's about making a little space to think about your teaching, use English for yourself and start the school year feeling calmer and more confident.

Here's how it works

During the week you'll receive five simple speaking prompts from me.

Take a minute or two to record yourself answering it in English. Your recordings are just for you.

If you'd like some company, join our pop-up WhatsApp community to share ideas and connect with other teachers. Or simply follow along quietly by email.

We'll finish the week with a live Reflection & Conversation event.

A LITTLE NOTE FROM ME

Hi, I'm Catherine

The more I’ve thought about it over the summer, the more convinced I’ve become that teachers don’t need another thing to learn before September.

They need a little space.

A chance to use English to think about their teaching before the year gets busy.

That’s why I created the September English Reset.

I’d love you to join us.

Questions

I hope this will help with your questions - feel free to contact me if something isn't covered.

No. The daily prompts are designed to fit around a busy schedule. If you miss a day, you can catch up when it suits you, or just skip it.

The Reset is designed for English and CLIL teachers who already use English in their professional lives.

You don't need perfect English to take part. If you can talk about your teaching in English, you'll fit right in.

Not at all. The more the merrier, but the pop-up WhatsApp community is completely optional. You can enjoy the whole Reset privately through the emails if you prefer.

That's absolutely fine.

Your daily voice recordings are for you. Sharing them is always optional.

Yes!

At the end of the week, I'll share how you can continue your journey in the Transform English Community if you'd like to, but there's no obligation to join.
